I often get asked how much walking to lose weight or how many steps to do to lose weight. I think these are valid questions if you're looking to add walking to your weight loss program. First, let's not forget that walking works best in addition to creating a calorie deficit through your diet and doing resistance training. And when you combine nutrition, resistance training, and 10 000 steps per day, you start seeing exceptional results.

In this video, I share my entire walking routine, how many steps I get, why I do so much walking, and how I plan my walks around the week. I also share practical tips for you if you plan to do walking for weight loss. Walking has made a massive difference for me when getting to 10% body fat. It allows me to lose more weight while eating more calories, which makes the whole process a lot more sustainable and enjoyable

I walk 5 to 7 miles a day. I split the walk, half after breakfast, half in the later afternoon. This keeps my metabolism running at a constant level throughout the day and promotes fat burning without exhaustion. I’m 70 yrs and and combined with lap swimming 5 or 6 days a week my walking routine has enabled me to keep my blood glucose levels under near perfect control (I’m a type 2 Diabetic) and my weight at an ideal (for me) 182 lbs.

I work at Costco so hitting 15k - 20k steps a day is easy. I'm getting paid to exercise lol

We were clearly evolved to walk. Many animals can run faster but nothing can walk farther or longer than we can.
I've always considered walking to be the perfect exercise for us.

The only real downside of walking as exercise to lose weight is that it takes a good chunk of your day.

Got a fitbit recently and it has been really helping me with my walking goals/weight loss. When COVID first started be taken more seriously I got all the way up to 242lbs and realized that I was definitely letting myself go. Now down to 211 today! Still a lot to go

Walking and Caloric deficit... It's all you really need to do to lose weight. I try to tell the people around me and no one listens lol... So simple yet so effective.

Walking mixes really well with photography. I've been walking 10k or more almost every day whilst my main focus is to take pictures and improve my photography. Lost a ton of weight, gained much more endurance and improved my photography skills! Strongly recommend

Hi mario ! Thank you for your video.i personally got into walking so much its turned into addiction.im not in a calorie deficit i eat what i want but..i walk 6 miles a day sometimes more.i started out 30 mins a day and little by little i went a little further .its like therapy for me.i wish more ppl would get into it.

Hi mario. 8k to 10k steps daily is the sweet spot. Im lean (lost 10kg) but not shredded. I took your advise and it works like a boss.
- i dont ever feel hungry like when i run
- plus a brisk walk is so much more relaxing

On the downside, it takes up a HELLA lotta time. 2 hrs a day
