NOTES:

1. Importance of Microbiome Changes
-the longer the fast the more important how you break it becomes
-What do you want to feed your microbiome?

2. Four Step Process
-liquid: broth (veggie, bone), green juice no fruit
-probiotic (sauerkraut, kombucha, cocoyo)
-prebiotic (fresh greens, low glycemic veggies, seeds, nuts)
-protein (clean proteins)

NO REFINED CARBS UNTIL THESE 4 STEPS

3. How long in between each step?
-30mins-1hr

1. A liquid, E. G bone broth, veggie broth or green juice- got to be organic and no fruit in it
2. Probiotic anything, kimich, saukekrat
3.pre biotics, raw seed nuts, broccoli, cauliflower any cruciferous vegetables
4. CLEAN protein
Take about a half hour between each step at least.... Take it slowly, seriously

No refined sugar, cakes, bread at all

I just finished the 3 day water fast. Did every step that Dr. Mindy said to do. It was great for me. I lost 3 pounds during the process but knowing I had so many other benefits to my body was even more encouraging. It was not as hard as I thought it would be and I feel great.

Just finished 3 day water fast for the first time. I didn’t weigh but I feel great, stomach no longer bloated or hurting, confidence way up! 😊

I just got thru a 72 hour fast and am feeling so tired. I rarely sleep well when I'm fasting. This is an improvement over the last time I did a longer fast, however, where I felt horrible past the 36 hours mark. This is the first time I've broken a fast correctly. It's amazing how LITTLE INFORMATION there is (& what is out there is contradictory) about how to correctly break a longer fast, so thank you for this video.

Watching this video again as I prepare to end my first 72 hour fast in 6 short hours!! I feel great. I would not have been able to do it without these videos! I'm down 6.2 pounds and my bloating and gluten induced pain is gone! Thank you, Dr. Pelz!

finishing my first 72 hour fast in 8 hours. I never thought Bone broth, sourkraut and brussel sprouts would sound so amazing. Looking forward to starting my feast at 5pm.

Definitely follow these steps and break your fast slowly. When I first started fasting I ate too much to fast and upset my gut. I almost stopped fasting because of this. It would take me 2 to 3 days to feel "normal again. When I started breaking my fast slowly, over a 2hr period, I did not have the gut distress. Thank you Dr Mindy for all the great information.

I'm 62 y.o. and 3 hours away from completing my first 72 hour fast. I've watched this video twice already in preparation for breaking this fast safely and comfortably to my gut and brain. I am going to have bone broth, wait 30 minutes, have fermented Sourkrout (which I normally have each morning), wait 30 minutes, have steamed broccoli, another 30 minutes, then a couple of eggs over easy paired with 1/2 an avocado and maybe a tin of sardines packed in EVOO.🎉😊 I'm SO excited and yes, I am proud of myself. 32 hours into my fast~ feeling calm. I like using kettle and fire bone broth after a long fast. Just had electrolytes~ would love to try LMNT electrolytes. :-) Trying to never eat after 5 pm, so I can control avoiding the boomerang effect. Best wishes, everyone.

I did a 48 hour fast and just eat eggs with beef patty and no issues, when I add a veg that is when I get issues. I think of it in the wild if you are a hunter gather and do not get a kill for a period of time then after days get a kill you just eat the kill immediately.

🙂On a 72 hr reset and got my friend to join me. We are doing great and she is loving it. 1st time for her. I've done your resetter fast before. I am 71 years old female. I just came off 91 hours fast today. This is my 6th Fast this year. Usually I break it off at 85 and 87 hours but this time I broke it off at 91 hours. My plans were to stop at 72 hours, . but since I were feeling good I did not want to stop. Fasting is my health benefit program. I did have problems with joint pains lower extremities 2 years ago. But not anymore since I been Fasting the last 2 years . I also uses it to lose wt, but I only lost 5-6 pounds this time . The last 2 days I had the same wt. So I decided to break the fast . I'm a carb sugar eater but my fast has been really helping me. Whenever I notice I have start eating that stuff heavy again I would jump on the Fast to reset. Thank Goodness for this Fasting Thing! PS the 2nd day i'm hungry a lot. I try to drink lots of water. I never experience the headaches, but I do be tired so I can rest. I only did H-salt once, it made me nauseous, I did gatoraide zero once, I didnt like the taste. So I just trys to get through it to get my benefits. Fasting is my Friend. lmbo

I'm 16 hours into this 72 hr fast and I feeling great. I will follow these steps to the letter. This all makes perfect sense. I broke my first 3 day fast less than ideally. Boomerang effect. My gut was not happy with my choices and I felt like crap. Didn't gain back the weight I lost. But still, it took a while to feel right again. Thanks for all you do, Dr. Mindy!

Thank you so much for sharing this. I do a 72 hour fast a month and for some I really messed up my gut ending the fast. I followed your recommendations for the last two and my gut loved it.
