In this video, I want to talk about the benefits of fasting and intermittent fasting for your immune system.

The benefits of fasting are amazing—especially if you can do a 72-hour fast. Most people will need to build up to a fast this long by starting with a 48-hour fast. It’s a good idea to do a 48- or 72-hour fast periodically—maybe once every month or two.

The benefits of fasting on the immune system have to do with literally growing a new immune system. Here’s what it helps with:
1. Boosts white blood cell count, including phagocytes, T-cells, and B-cells.
2. Strongly surpasses inflammation by supporting cytokines
3. Decreases PKA
4. Kills old and damaged white blood cells through autophagy

Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:

My 22 year old son lost his sense of smell in Aug. 21 due to the coof. In March 22 he did a 72 hr fast. Got his smell back!!!!

Initial target was a 72-hour fast, but ended up doing 171 hours (7 days), feeling great and now breaking the fast. Thinking of making this an annual thing. Fasting is awesome! 🙂

I testify to the truth of improved immune system with 72 hours fasting by my own experience.
I had caught really bad flu just before my pre-scheduled 3 day water fast.
Since I had already lost my appetite and wanted to see the impact on my immune system, I fasted for 3 days.
I usually can't recover from such a flu for weeks but it was all cleared up completely after 3 days of fast.
I think it is pretty good idea to fast while sick. We lose appetite for a reason.

I just did a 96 hour fast. I never would have thought I could do such a long fast, but since going keto, fasting is easier. I started with a 48 fast. Then a 72 hour fast and finally the four day fast.

I had serious issues with my knees. Saw Doctors and Osteopaths. Apparently my back was out of alignment which has been corrected but the pain in my knees and joints remained. 72 hour fast and all the pain has gone! Mind blowing!!! I’ve been suffering for over 6 months. 3 day water fast and I feel brilliant!

Today, I have 4 hours left to complete my 5-day fast. In these 5 days, I only drank water. I didn't put even a gram of food in my mouth. In these 5 days, I lost 5 kilos. 3 days are not easy, but 5 days are a little harder. When a person is hungry, they understand the situation of hungry people and animals better. Hunger turns you into a better person. It was a great experience for me. I continued my normal life in these 5 days. I used my car and did about 50 squats every day. I feel a little weak, especially in the first 3 days I feel this weak more. I recommend it to everyone. Of course, fasting is difficult, you have to make a great effort, your will must be strong and ask God for help in this matter.

60 hours into a 72 hour fast and I’m amazed at how it tightens your skin beautifully as the weight comes off. My stomach never looks bad or saggy the way it did as I was losing weight the traditional way. More importantly, my brain is feeling better. It’s amazing.
