Protein intake
Resistance training

Eat at maintenance calories and high protein 1.6-2.2g/kg of bodyweight

Train each body part at least once a week

Progressive overload: workouts get more challenging every week.

Exactly. On point. I couldn’t agree more because that’s what I was told by a winner of natural bodybuilding competitor aka my friend. Also, one of my other good friends advised on EXACTLY what she said. And I look and feel amazing. Keep up the good work! Believe AND Succeed!

At 16 i started losing weight.. well no one was there to "guide me".. ended up losing my muscle with the fat. I looked sick and as flat as a pancake. Gained healthy weight by 18 and started lifting weights.. well the amount of toning and progress i saw was incredible. It literally sculpted my body. Cardio did work but if you ONLY do cardio without adding some strength, weight training in your routine.. you do end up losing your muscle which i did. I learned it the hard way. No one really tells you about lifting weights as a female most girls think AaAh I'm gonna be bulked up but nah it isn't as easy to "bulk up" as a female.. so girls add weights to your routine (if you only do Cardio)it's a game changer fr.
The gains.. oooof you're gonna love it.
Also only after starting lifting weights i realised my passion for it, i lovee love lifting🥰

for those using freedom units, .7x your current weight is a good minimum amount of grams of protein that you should be factoring into your daily meal plan. So if you're 150lbs, aim for at least 105g of protein EVERY DAY, not just on workout days.

Thank you for this! I just started my fitness journey 2 months ago, and working on having patience is going to be my biggest struggle during these times.
