This doesn’t mean to not train your core. Weather it’s through spine flexion or stabilising your body through heavy load, Core strength is really important.

Also, set a treadmill at the gym to be 12 at incline, put the speed to at least 3.0-3.5, and just walk for 30-40 minutes

Well from my side i think that situps, crunches and more abdominal excersises like that are really helpful when you want to lose belly fat and love handles coz if you have strong muscles in the abdominal area then it would act as a sponge and will distribute the fat in this way you will look a lot leaner and ofc your core will be stronger
So I prefer that just like any other muscle you should also train your core atleast 2-3 times a week
(Remember its my opinion)

Science has proven, doing high intensity exercise trigger more calories to burn than fat, fat is lost in progress of increased, low to moderate exercise. So for those stating doing a 12 incline with speed of 3-4 on a treadmill. You're on point. However that doesn't mean high intensity isn't good. Agility is much needed to support reflexes, so always add some cardio to your exercises.

Or just cardio mixed with weight lifting, lifting weights boost your metabolism, then do some cardio to loose calories, which will lead to (along with proper nutrition) losing body fat and weight

Muscle building exercises don’t target your belly fat. They target all your fat, it’s a long tedious process but while building muscle you’ll lose fat. Some people believe that if you build muscle it’s very ineffective towards losing fat but they couldn’t be more wrong.

He is correct, im doing sit-ups for two years even 100 a day but my stomach never been trim, now im doing push-ups, jump rope and assault bike which makes me more thinning.
