Have you always wanted to improve your singing power? Do you sing with a voice that's too breathy or two week? If so, I want to help you solve that problem in this video today.

Everyone wants to increase their vocal or singing power. However it is very difficult to do that without straining or pushing your voice. So instead, in today's video, I want to show you how to sing with power without just pushing your voice.

Then I'll give you five exercises to increase your singing power. Let's jump in.

The first place that we need to start is to define vocal power. Vocal power or singing power, just means that you're singing at a strong volume or dynamic. Now there are a lot of ways to do this. Unfortunately, many singers will just push their voice to get more volume. However we'll see that the right way to get more singing power is to have the correct combination of breath and muscle.

I mentioned earlier that singing with power comes from the right combination of breath and muscle. Breath in this case comes from the air in your lungs. And the muscle that I'm referring to is the vocal cords themselves. If either one of these systems of your singing voice are not working correctly, then you're going to have a weak or breathy voice.

For instance, if you sing with very little air and a lot of muscle, then you're going to have a very tense voice with very little power.

Or for another example, if you sing with a lot of air and very little muscle, again you're going to sing with very little power.

Instead, correct singing power comes from the right combination of a lot of air being resisted by a lot of muscle. This will result in a lot of singing power.

Now I'm going to give you five exercises to increase your singing power. In the first exercise we’ll do the five tone count, where you speak the words on pitch and improve your singing power.

In the next exercise, I'll give you the five tone “Gug”, as in gutter. This G continent is really great for helping you increase the muscle that's being used which improves your singing power.

In the next exercise, you'll sing an octave repeat bratty “Nae”, as in nasty. In this exercise you will repeat the top note 4 times which improves your singing power on your high notes.

In the next exercise, you'll sing an octave repeat scale on the word “Gug”, as in gutter. Again this exercise really helps because the G consonants is so good at bringing the vocal cords together.

And our final singing power exercised is singing an octave repeat “Mum”, as in mother. This one is a little bit of a challenge, because you have less support than some of the other exercises. However this is much closer to what you'll find in a song.

Don't worry if you're singing a little bit breathy or a little bit light right now. Learning to sing with more power is really easy if you use a correct singing techniques. These will definitely help!

Great exercises
I can definitely notice that
every other day I can go a tone higher.
And with a better overall brightness.

I skip the first exercise and to the following 4. In each one I start from G3 as a woman and go as high as I can without strain and come back to G3

My question is;
Can I do these twice a day and everyday a week?
(Makes 730 times a year😊)

If that would be too much, can you pls recommend a schedule?
