Sometimes holding the mid split position can be painful on the ground so this is a good alternative. Especially on days when you feel tight and sore

Question I was instructed with this stretch u should wait till ur all the way down to add the ankle weights. Would it be bad on ur knees to do so early I am asking cause using ankles weights are very risky and dangerous used incorrectly

ay sid what's your opinion about external/internal rotation of the knees in this stretch?
Is middle split supposed to be done with externally rotated knees like pancake?

My lower back always starts hurting when I do this. Any reason you can think of why? Also do you warm up before this?

Hey Sid. What, if i can only split about 90° and feel no stretch at all? Even with 500g or 1kg weight i feel no stretch... I struggle with the middle split for YEARS. :D
