Pubofemoral ligament. I used to try to explain this to people about high side kicks in karate, it's the same subtle movement that unlocks your hips

It’s also about not trying to do it later in life even if you had done it. I tore 4 muscles in one hip when I tried it on a whim. Just doing it slow and easy then Pop!

How does SI joint problems affect this? Also, how would arthritis in the hips? I was a gymnast so I knew about rotating the hips, but one hip just doesn’t want to play.
