In the following video Dr. John explores the question: if it hurts should I stop? Before you make a decision we’ve found it best to first ask two questions of our own. Is the way you’re moving the reason you hurt? If it is, first explore how you could be more efficient. Better technique often means less pain. Finally, are you doing everything right but you still hurt? Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Instead of completely avoiding a painful activity find a version that isn’t painful. Work backwards until you find a version you can handle. As you feel better you can then begin to move forward back towards the original activity. Thanks for listening!
