This move is bad if you have bursitis. I kept doing this move thinking my hips were tight, but the pain persisted. I eventually found several physical therapy videos that said NOT to cross my legs like this for a while to let the inflammation calm down. (With different exercises and suggestions, too.) My hip pain went away quickly.

OK, so... I'm dealing with chronic hip pain (likely trochanteric bursitis) and trying to fix on my own through strengthening and Voltaren. It's vastly improved, but not completely. I've seen other videos where it's suggested that internal rotation is NOT good, as it can compress the bursa. Thoughts? And thanks! P.S. x-rays negative.

I do these after recovering from a herniated disk and it helps sooo much with the muscle tightness I had. Very useful stretches 🙏
