Heal Soreness Faster

Here's a quick tip to heal muscle soreness faster that I've used for years! It seems obvious to some, but others take their sleep as time to "stretch" and "even out their posture" when our muscles will heal much better if we keep them relaxed while resting.

Hope this helps!

The point of the video is that our muscles tend to heal better when we let them relax before sleeping. A big part of this is not keeping them fully lengthened. Otherwise, they seem to shorten when we sleep and we're basically doing light isometrics without knowing it.

NOTEL I research every video I make, and I couldn't seem to pull up any specific studies on this. However, it's based on basic principles like muscles healing better at rest. Let me know if there are issues.

This has helped me out a lot in the past and I hope it can help others! Love you all.

Missing your tai-chi videos. Also would be cool to see a video about why tai-chi works and why it differs from yoga.

there is something about your voice, its different, its more soothing, more relaxing, if someone is restless your voice could definitely help. In one of your videos you said you are not thinking about any podcasts, in my opinion whenever you do, you will do good. Have a good one ahead.

I sleep in a loose foetal position, on my side, with 2 pillows to protect my shoulders. I have problems with my shoulders, and side sleeping has only exacerbated the problems until I added a second pillow.

My chiropractor said I should sleep on my back only, but this approach I use has taken me years to figure out and works INCREDIBLY well for me.

I'm definitely going to add a self massage machine to my nighttime routine, too. I got my first massage recently, and it was AMAZING!!

Thank you, Hampton! This confirms what my experience has been. Unless I have over done it, I rarely have sore muscles after a good night of rest.

It was good to see your familiar face when I was looking up this subject of sore muscles, seeing everyone else wanting to go through a rigmarole of why and how come in blah blah blah instead of telling me what to do to feel better…Thank you for your help

I recommend a hot bath before bed! About an hour or two before you fall asleep, a hot, 20 minute soak always relaxes me.
