I have a post viral illness that has resulted in damaged mitochondria that gets exponentially worse with overexertion (ME/CFS). I have wanted to do exercises in bed that are easy, don't raise my heart beat and strengthen my core and improve my balance (I have dysautonomia and suffer from balance issues). There isn't anything much catering for people with my illness. But I realised recently that a lot of the damage to my body actually makes my body older and more fragile. That I should look for exercises catering for those who are 60+.

I tried these gentle exercises and my heart maintained a low bpm. This is great as it means that these exercises keep my heartrate below my maximum lactic threshold.

The hardest thing for me is admitting how much weaker I've become as I've aged. I was given a few of these exercises by Physio, basically I have to do them, and that means accepting I'm no longer as tough as I was! Thanks for the video, it's the reminder that I needed 😊

As someone who had spinal fusion surgery almost three years ago and still suffers with back pain, I have done a lot of PT but not all of it has been helpful. These gentle yet core-specific exercises are exactly what I’ve been looking for! I am excited to try them. Thank you!

Thank you Shrey, been going these exercises for a couple of weeks now and I feel my core muscles feeling stronger. The only one I can’t do is the back exercises since I can’t go on my knees. It has helped me feel so much better and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so much more conscious of my core when doing things.

These exercise examples are great, but kneeling on the knees is not the greatest for some people over 60. Maybe give alternative exercises for people who can’t put pressure on the knees. Thank you.

Can you recommend bed exercises to build up to the ability of this video ?
