Get a good night's rest with this 30 minute beginner yoga class for sleep.

I used to have a very hard time falling asleep at night and would lay awake for hours! I'm much better now but every now and then restlessness creeps up on me and when it does, I turn to yoga to help.

This sequence is a gentle hatha practice that will incorporate some easy hip openers and forward folds to soothe a busy mind and a restless body. Melt away tension and get ready for a deep night sleep. No props required but you can always grab a few pillows and blankets to get extra cozy.

Thanks Kassandra, this was lovely. I do a lot of HIIT, weight training and running in the daytime but like to do some gentle yoga in the evening to wind down and this was just perfect. I've recently discovered your Yin Yoga videos too and there are perfect. Your verbal cues are great - I can close my eyes and still follow exactly, and you have such a calm voice and demeanour.

I've practised this routine for three weeks and it has helped me get a deeper, more restful sleep. The routine switches off my study and work brain so I can fall to sleep easily and there is a noticeable difference in my posture as I seem to be more aware of when I'm slouching and how to correct my stance. It’s a great series of night time stretches. I loved everything except the music! I found the beat a bit distracting, I’m very sensitive to this so it’s probably not an issue for most people. Thanks Kassandra.
