Relax and stretch with this 30 minute restorative yin yoga practice with reclined poses.

Welcome to my channel! I have a lovely and relaxing yin yoga sequence for you today. This is a wonderful practice to soothe your nervous system and relax deeply. You can practice at any time of the day but this would definitely be a lovely class to do before bed as all of the poses are done laying down.

We'll be using one block for supported bridge pose but you can use a bolster, a pillow or a few folded up blankets instead. This is suitable for all experience levels. We'll go through poses like reclined butterfly, reclined swan, banana pose, reclined knee pile, supported bridge and savasana.

What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is often called the Yoga of the joints because unlike other styles of yoga, the emphasis is not on the muscles but on the deep connective tissue. Connective tissue is made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form your joints. Yin yoga improves the range of motion in your joints and also strengthens them. The results and benefits are more flexibility and greater range of motion and also more stability within your joints.

There are 3 principles of Yin Yoga.
1. Find your edge
2. Be still
3. Hold the pose

With my dyslexia I first read "recycled ♻️ yin". It sounded pretty good. You had me at recycled.

I’ve been practicing with you daily for a little over 6 months now and today I was really struggling to find the motivation to step onto my mat, when lo and behold, a premiere! This is a great practice to come back to if you are feeling sick, overwhelmed, emotionally tender, or in pain. It is easy to do without any props, and there are plenty of recommended modifications to help you make it your own. This practice made me feel deeply relaxed and restored, and I will definitely be coming back to it in the future

Again and again, your classes are AMAZING. I am doing yoga for many years, trying to create a regular practice and thanks to your soft, yin yoga classes I am creating this daily routine because I really need this yin to slow down and not push myself (as I push myself too much in other aspects of my life), the mat is my mirror. Oh Kassandra, what a blessing you are in my life. This week you have challenged my core and made me sweat and then today when my body needed to lay down, this repeated practice was just so deliciously dreamy.
