Thank you for this video. My son is in a relationship with a narcissistic woman. He has stopped talking to everyone in our family. He has struggled since his teenage years with depression and anxiety. We have done all we can to get to talk to him or see him. However, She always sabotages the meeting or phone calls so we cannot talk. This woman has gone so far to make sure that we don’t get to communicate with our son. She has faked Covid, multiple miscarriages and emergencies every time we set up a face to face talk or phone calls. I am afraid that my son who is so caring and loving will end himself because he is so vulnerable. It breaks me soul to even think about the abuse he is going through and his vulnerability might convince him to end himself. I want to tell him that we are not ever giving up on him and he is always got support no matter what. I hope one day he will realize what is happening to him because he can’t see it right now.

Oh my goodness! When you mentioned suicide it chilled me to the bone. I've known 3 men that committed suicide because of their female Narcisisstic abusive ex. It's so sad. Real life. These women should be in prison.

A classic story with every disordered experience you could possibly fit into the time spent in a perpetuity of hope. Too much of our upbringing from many societal and cultural sources sabotages gut instinct. Conditioned to endure.
You can see how people unaffected don't get it. Good instilled boundarys. That fact can be used as catalyst to wake to self care too.

I'm unclear about what you are trying to get across with the brief mention about your father, and who you were estranged from? Was it your wife or your father? I wish Tracy had asked you to clarify.

My son is in a relationship with a covert narcissist it's been so painful to make him see, his kids are still young and he just turned 39 He is still in the 'excusing her' stage and I am not sure what to do. Sometimes I feel it's so painful I don't want to see him. At one point last year she created a situation were we were estranged for almost a year. She loves the power game, and does it ever so subtle that he cannot see what she is doing.

I thought l was crazy! This is what’s going in my marriage, with the kids and all. Some days I feel like I’m insane. She turned my boys against me, painted me crazy and all. That was 2 years ago, I got sucked back in and I regret it! I no one believes you, I’m the bad guy!!!

Hmm sounds like his Church was JWs especially if he lost his parents because of his "sin" 🤔 If so, that in and of itself is a wholly different level of mental abuse. 🫤
