It's really tragic. Narcissists are *usually* born out of abused, neglected, traumatized children who go on to lead lives with lonely, miserable endings. People, love on your children, set healthy boundaries, teach them to be kind, their entire future is at stake

A lot of narc abuse survivors are missing one vital piece of information... The narcs are missing out on a real relationship with you. You're probably a sweet, kind, empathic person - YOU'RE GOLD - and the narc misses out on you when you walk away. Plus they never got to experience and amazing relationship with you. This is true. I’m an atheist, but in my decades of life experience, “karma” always catches up with narcissists. They fuck over the people who care about them, they alienate their friends (because everyone is disposable), and if they have kids, the kids probably hate them. If I were a nicer person, I’d pity them - but I’m not a nicer person anymore.

I have often said of bullies, “They are their own punishment. They are miserable, bitter people, and they have to live with themselves! Sure, they’re awful to be around; imagine what it must be like living in their heads 24/7! A delusional fantasy land where everyone is out to get them and they are martyred saints! Left a narc ‘friend’ after about 10 years.
Perfect example of her: going on and on about this friend and that friend, calling them ‘crazy b*tch’. At one point, I turned to her and asked, “So…how many times do you call me a crazy b*tch when I’m not around’?
We eye-locked and there was dead silence. I looked her in the eye after a few beats and said, ‘thought so’.
Left her facility shortly afterward. And I lived Happily Ever After.
