Exercises for Knee Pain Relief

Hey everyone! When I started posting more squat and lower-body workouts last week, I got many requests for this video. I actually had already had a knee pain video, but I felt like I could make it a lot better, so I remade it.

Knee pain can be caused by MANY things, and this video is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical conditions. Some issues cannot be solved with exercise or physical therapy alone.

Beyond this, sometimes strengthening our calves and hamstrings can "mysteriously" fix our knee pain. Both of these muscle groups support the knees.

On the other hand, sometimes these muscles are simply too TIGHT. You muscle fibers may be getting too tight and constantly trying to hyperextend your knees. Savor some calf and hamstring stretches.

I should point out that my chosen hamstring stretch in this video, standing toe touches, are controversial to some. Again, I like them, so they're shown here. If you are against them or they hurt you, you're very welcome to choose a different hamstring stretch.

Finally, I talk about isometric exercises like the horse stance and wall sit that seem to help with knee pain.

I touch upon synovial fluid, which is largely responsible for healing and nourishing our joints. Synovial fluid mostly circulates with movement, so I've included some knee "circles."

I have to tell these exercises made a huge difference for me! I had a knee injury like 2 years ago now, and these helped me a lot with the hurting. After doing these exercises with my other thigh strengthening ones, my knees don't hurt at all anymore, and I finally feel safe to do jumping squats again. Thank you so much!

I have a Low Velocity Patellar Dislocation (partialy dislocated kneecap). Over the past ten years (5 surgeries and cancer treatment) I've lost all trust of doctors. I'm going to try these exercises slow and easy and see if it helps. Thanks for all you do--I've been emjoying your videos very much.

You are doing huge human service to those of us with pain, altered mobility and even mental motivation. Daily doses of realization you can’t do ANYTHING you did just a year ago lends to depression and shutdown. These are so helpful. Maybe I’ll walk and stand strait again-but maybe I won’t. Every day is another chance though and I will keep trying everything I can to help my body. I’ve been through a stroke, multiple fractures (rt shoulder, both hip fractured r/t clumsy and fell and command performance 2 years later😏

YOU ARE A SAVIOR....I LOVE ❤ YOUU....was jyst waitibg for this kind of help...had a knee fracture last march...n after 1 year n 6 mnths of physiotherapy...my knee starts hurting when i workout little bit....gained weight...lost confidence...etc etc....but now am gonna view ur video and heal it
