Potatoes are terrible for my blood sugar level! Ditto on toast (breads - ALL breads). Peanuts and peanut butter are full of lectins, sugar (unless it’s a TRUE NATURAL peanut butter. Other nut butters are a better choices but I won’t go into this. But I am very strict as I’ve had medical conditions and have had to be educated in the fired of nutrition for health reasons early childhood. Example: I have, as they call it today, eaten “clean” long before it was even a word used. Good video! xx

I tend to consider peanut butter as more of a fat, but, yes, once I have some, just want more.
Better to use fats like butter and/or coconut oil.

1 and 3 are fat sources, 2 and 4 are carb sources, 5 is whatever. Frankly speaking, boiled potatoes for non-insulin sensitive people are an excellent choice for carbs; I prefer washing them well and then boiling them with the skin.

AUTUMN!!! Since we’re on the subject of protein, this is about the 10th time that you’ve been asked— can you please tell us what the “natural flavors” in your protein powders are? You’re a dietitian and your audience wants to know what make up the natural flavors in your protein powder??

Hold on potatoes are indeed low in protein, BUT if not deep fried to oblivion, they are one of the best food to eat for weight loss, because they are very satiating, and actually LOW in calories.
And what causes you to gain weight is NOT THESE FOODS, it's CALORIE SURPLUS

Instead of peanut butter, I prefer almond butter. 1 teaspoon in the morning when I have to do heavy weight training. I eat with: vegan greek yogurt, vanilla vegan protein powder, low carb fruits as berries.

I eat potatoes for high satiety but I eat them with eggs which is put a lot of egg whites. This for me is a middle of the week cheat meal which keeps my sanity and doesn’t make me over indulge on my cheat meal. Also when I do eat potatoes it’s a post workout meal and I don’t really eat anything but a Kirkland protein bar, some chicken, and Greek yogurt. My diet consists of a very high fat and protein diet for the most part with my only source of carbs being oatmeal.

RE: Rotisserie chicken from big-box, wholesale clubs. I have heard some say these are horrible due to being injected with various solutions/seasonings and should never be eaten. However, most store-bought chicken (raw or precooked) other than rotisserie are also injected with ‘solutions’ of various things. I understand rotisserie chickens may have a lot of salt, but based on the low cost, high protein, convenience allowing macro goals to be easier. So is this a suitable option to meet a convenient protein option or should these be avoided?

I wish doctors were versed in nutrition. Unfortunately, for the most part, they are ignorant of it. They study disease and drugs. If people don’t educate and advocate for themselves on their health and nutrition, they are in trouble.

I use peanut butter as a fat and definitely see potatoes as carbs, so I eat those with caution so to speak. Thank you for the video. The way you explain things makes so much sense, love it! 🎄❤️🇨🇦

I can certify what she says it true lol
If I just have toast for breakfast at like 6.30am. By 8.30am I’m looking for something else.
Am I hungry? Not really but I’ve had zero protein at breakfast and my brain is saying ‘go stare in the pantry!’ ‘Maybe you’ll find something in the fridge….go on, have a look.’

Hi Autumn, can you please explain what the “natural flavors” listed in your protein powder are? I’m a bit surprised seeing natural flavors from someone that preaches health. I know others also want to know.. could you please explain what the natural flavors are? I think it would clear up a lot of questions. Thank you!

For years, I battled with unwanted weight gain. I just couldn't seem to lose those extra calories no matter how much I exercised.
But I finally realized that it was my diet which is the main culprit because I was not consuming enough protein and fiber while constantly eating snacks that contained sugar and lots of palm oil which left me craving that for more.
Then, I discovered a game-changer, Alpino Rolled Oats and it's peanut butter.
This combo is a dream, it's packed with high protein to keep me feeling full and help me build muscle, plus tons of fiber to maintain my weight. But the best part is this is unbelievably delicious! No boring protein shakes or bland oatmeal for me. Alpino Oats and peanut butter satisfy my cravings without any added sugar. It's the perfect solution for anyone looking to lose weight without sacrificing taste.

completely agree with you on this I maintain my weight, but if I add peanut butter and almond butter to my diet, I gain. I do occasionally have the powdered peanut butter

I love peanut butter but have using the PB powder in addition to protein powder to my morning smoothie. Two tablespoon has 8 grams protein and 60 calories. About 33 total grams of total protein, also using about 1 cup of either frozen blueberries or strawberries. I find this very filling until lunch. What are your thoughts on this combination ? Thanks 😊

Kettle & Fire broths are soooo expensive...almost $8 per box! I can see why some say it's so expensive to eat healthy, so frustrating
