How I would hit 150g of protein 🥩

I'm using 150g of protein is a rough average for most people, but if you don't know how much protein to have, then I would start with around 0.7-1g of protein per lb of body weight.

This isn't a strict rule you have to stick as everyone is different, for example mine is a lot higher as it's just something I've built up to over years of tracking, but this is a great start and is what majority of people will only need.

When it comes to hitting your protein, it's just a matter of prioritising your protein intake, and building the habit of including more protein sources for each meal.

Keep in mind though that other food items do have protein which I would still include in your daily protein intake as it just makes tracking easier, which then could also make hitting your protein that little bit easier too 🙂

For south east Asians, Basa fish is an op protein source. Its so common in S.E.A, 200g of basa has like 40g+ of protein. And it costs barely a dollar.

As someone who is used to eating just once no breakfast per day since early high school eating and eating enough has by far been the hardest out of everything that comes with working out. I love working out but eating feels like a chore sometimes😅

It’s 0.8-1.4 g PER KG. 0.36 g PER POUND. For example I weight 50
Kg, I exercise and I need around 50 g of protein. I know it sounds low, I’m a nutrition-dietetics students and it’s a pain in the * to design appropriate diets. You should only do 1.4 g per kg if you’re like an elite athlete. In my case that would be 70 g. We eat way to much protein. The body suffers in the long run.

Being a body builder of a different sort right bow, I've had to start being more mindful of my protein intake since being pregnant. I've enjoyed what I've seen from your channel!

Found a hack snack food to easily hit your protein macro in a pinch and increase your diet enjoyment - it’s chicharron (pork rinds). I just eat an entire pack of chicharron (64 g), 2 protein shakes after workout and before bed (80-100g depending on brand) and 1 normal meal (20-60g). Boom easy 1g per pound on about 2-2.3k calories.

I don’t care about the high sodium because I do a lot of cardio and HIIT so I should be consuming more sodium and electrolytes in general. I only lift 1-2x a week max. May lead to bloating if you primarily lift for exercise and don’t drink enough water.

I'm glad you also mentioned that the amount of protein you should have is on a range, if you're heavier it can get hard to keep up with 200+ grams of protein, so being able to go a little lower on some days really helps

I would also recommend eggs 🥚, they’re so nourishing and have the best amino acids profile
