Not gonna lie man, this kind of mentality keeps people soft. If you only continue training whenever you "Feel good" what about when there comes a time when you need to do something physical even when you're sore? Soldiers in the army train every day and they may not be jacked like a body builder, but they are lean, shredded and strong asf. But that's just me, you do you.

Thx for the info, I’m taking 7 rest days a week and my gains are immaculate

I don't do "challenges" but i do do push ups and pull ups basically everyday and I'd like to think I'm doing fine in the gains department.

Idk bro, I hit a wall and I wasn’t getting anymore gains. I decided to stop lifting weights for 2 months and did 200 pushups, 200 squats 100 sit-ups, 2 mile run (every other day because I didn’t want shin splints). And I got beyond the wall, I’m back to weight lifting and although many of you will be surprised, I actually increased by bench and squat. I had 0 rest days in the 61 days I performed this. I don’t know what to make of this, I understand rest is important and now that I’m back to lifting I have my normal 2 rest days in but I cannot deny the progress I had when doing what I was doing.

That’s why you train pushups 3 times a week to let them rest😂

Tnx for carifying this, I do workout once per life time and feels great. I'm bulking like crazy. In my past life i was doing the same thing, but unfortunatelly I didn't have time to enjoy the benefits of it because i was shortened by head in French revolution because i had connections with Maximilien Robespierre.

I met a dude at the gym that works the same muscle group 3 days in a row and then moves to the next muscle group. He was telling me he has been lifting for years and it’s the best way. I was able to manage not laughing in his face, he proceeded to tell me he deadlifts 225 to try and flex 😂. I said “dang dude that’s impressive” and left it at that😂

There are lots of different plans you can do to find results but you are 100% right with the guys who say to do push-ups everyday. Your muscles need rest and that’s a fact.

If you never work out, you’ll be fully recovered constantly

That’s why I only do exercise once a year, I take a rest for the rest of the year to allow proper muscle growth and recovery.

This info is only for those interested in constantly bulking. Some people are training to work under slight fatigue

Yes, you do need rest and muscle repair for growth but it doesn't mean you'd stop the progressive overload. Just plan properly, don't jump in to higher level at the beginning also don't stay stuck on the the level forever. Proper and healthy progress= healthy growth
