I visited Paris at the start of June and was blown away with the food and wine!! Stayed in 17th ARR. after watching your channel. I have become a total croissant snob and have not found anything that matches Paris croissants in the UK 😂 Love the channel. Thanks for the excellent information.

When I went to Paris and tasted real French fries, I was blown away! Ate them everyday! Also loved croissants and became addicted to Brie!

Just got back from Paris after spending two weeks there and saw all my longtime friends. I ate so well and love the food in Paris, everything is so fresh. I love the architecture and think Paris is so beautiful and romantic. I like the Marais and there’s so much going on there.

If you're going to France and are going to eat croissants, you have to get the ones that are made with only butter as the fat. Every decent croissant or pâtisserie in France will be "pur beurre" so many do not actually state this (some may have signs stating this). This is a major difference between French pâtisserie and industrialized US pastry that fills the shelves of Costco and discount grocery stores. The cheaper US stuff uses hydrogenated soybean, palm or other oils. French croissants look and taste wonderful because real butter browns beautifully and is a natural emulsification of water and fat, which gives just the right conditions to create a flaky dough. The flour in France is also better quality and contains its natural yeasts, which is why you can get wonderful baguette with little or no additives, as it often has been at least partially hand-kneaded and proofed. This is actually rare to find in USA. Outside of the large cities there are great boulangeries and pâtisseries that offer great stuff shown here.

We visited, and my husband was so skeptical about the food. He was blown away by the quality of it all. It was so amazing!
Also, had the pleasure of visiting Rocomadour!! I'm just dreaming of when I can visit France again!! I went to London 6 weeks ago, and I just really wanted to pop back over to Paris!!!!

My favorite French sandwich is the pain bagnat (or the Tunisian version with harissa) and my favorite crèpe is with crème de marron (chestnut cream). I also love salade Niçoise. Can you tell that I've lived in Provence?

Pour moi, il n’y a rien de meilleur qu’un bon croissant au beurre, croustillant à l’extérieur et doux à l’intérieur. 😊Oh et les baguettes de Brie vendues à tous les coins de la rue ! Paris me manque ! Merçi pour cet excellent video Lucille 😊😊

As a vegetarian, only four of this list are for me, but I did have all of them on our recent trip to Paris! Our crepes, apero, and gouter were good but nothing special, but the Patisserie? Fantastique!

As a Parisian myself I got pleasure in just watching everyone in the video appreciating the various sweel/salty specialities. I even got a couple of new places to experience.
What I may add to the comments is the following. About what you show as CREPE. Of course you find this a bit everywhere as street food because quick to prepare… but… a CREPE (made with wheat flour) is generally stuffed with something sweet (honey, jam, freshly melt chocolate, etc) unlike GALETTE which is prepared with buckwheat flour (top for gluten free people) which are indeed stuffed with salty ingredients (endless list: ham, grated cheese, mushrooms, onions, andouille, egg, braised leaks with bacon and bechamel…) To appreciate these differences, nothing best than having a dinner by a Creperie where they served galettes as main dish and crêpes as dessert.
One word now about what you call APERO. Although the cheese you had might be found in some families, apero is more often made with wines and aperitives like pastis, port, aperol spritz, than are usually accompanied by a large selection of mini snacks that preceed the dinner: salted or spicely coated peanuts/almonds/cajus…, various crisps, black/white olives, various types and sizes of saucissons, bites of pâtés/terrines spread on Parisian crispy baguette, guacamole with tortilla chips, etc. Etc. Thank you for your videos :-)
