Today I'm going to cover the top 10 foods that help you lose belly fat.

Cortisol is a stress hormone that turns protein into sugar. It causes your liver to make new sugar out of non-carbohydrate sources, such as fat, ketones and protein.

If your cortisol is really high, your body will make a lot of sugar. This increase in sugar will elevate insulin, and insulin makes belly fat. Consuming a high-carb diet and sugar, or eating too frequently can also cause your insulin to spike, leading to belly fat.

You'll typically notice belly fat after the liver is already fatty because a lot of the visceral fat around the organs comes from a spill-off of fat from the liver. So, the best foods to help you lose belly fat address lowering insulin, lowering cortisol or supporting the liver.

Dr. Berg, I’ve been watching your videos for several months now. I was 196 pounds and I had acid reflux that was difficult to control. Now my acid reflux barely exists and I’ve already lost 15 pounds by eating the recommended foods avoiding certain foods, eating whole lemon, including apple cider vinegar and doing the 18:6 daily fasting. I feel great, my clothes fit so much better, I have more energy, and any intermittent knee pain I used to experience has resolved completely! Hey, Doc - just wanted to say thanks. I saw this video Saturday, and incorporated the eggs, burger, sprouts, sauerkraut into my diet on Sunday. I cut out almost all carbs. On Monday morning, my blood-sugar had dropped from 136 to 102. (I became a Stage 2 diabetic last year.) On Tuesday morning, it had dropped to 84. My meds and dosage haven't changed for months... the only thing that changed was taking some of your advice. Thanks again.

I love eating Sauerkraut as a salad with pieces of parmigiano, boiled egg, walnuts and avocado, some apple cidre vinegar and lots of olive oil on it. Also adding spices such as thyme, rosemary and marjoram.

Down 44 pounds in about 3 months, this man has given me the key to control my weight. I'm already a naturally disciplined person so fasting (in addition to my pre-existing exercise regimen) comes natural to me. Wish I'd known about this stuff earlier. It's amazing. This man is an angel.

THIS is EXACTLY why I have not lost weight over the last few months (lots if stress with moving and a psycho neighbor). Now that I have finally gotten moved to a better place, I LOST 6 POUNDS in the last week. OMG. THANK Stress is a HUGE factor in health issues and no one respects that except Dr. Berg!!!

After 4 weeks of being on keto + IF had my bi-annual check up with naturopathic doc. She was amazed at the affect it had on my triglycerides, cholesterol and inflammation numbers. Glucose and insulin numbers were down too. What I have learned from Dr Berg in 8 weeks is more than the numerous medical doctors I’ve gone to in the past 25 years!

Finally, someone can explain to me why I have high sugars and rarely eat it!! I had my cortisol checked and it was high. Countless doctors could not answer this question…. I gave up my 2 decade low fat diet and immediately lost 25 lbs.

I’ve been on keto for almost a year and a half now because of Dr.Berg.

I’m amazed at the amount of information you give us. I started listen to you not necessarily to loose weight but to improve my heath and possibly prevent diseases, I have to say I feel so much better. I follow a Keto diet with intermittent fasting, and I’m loving the results.

Dr. Berg, you are allowing so many people to recognize that they can live better and have longevity. This alone, is so priceless. I have lost 5 pounds in one month because of listeningto you, and adjusting my eating and grocery buying to the information that you provide. My blood sugars have dropped from high 190's to 130, 100 to 98!!! The medicines that I were prescribed NEVER lowered my levels to those levels - EVER!
There were just so many positive outcomes that I have started sharing your videos with my brother. He has not yet come around. I am living proof that what you are advising works, but we know that it is not only a physical commitment, it is also a mental one. Once the mind aligns with what is possible - then it is just a step at a time. What you offer is a change from a medicated disease state to hope and health.
