Not everyone can afford organic grass fed foods, so while these are best, if you're on a budget buy what you can afford, it still goes a long way.

Our grandparents cooked everything in lard and ate fried foods. And lived till they were in there 80s.

I love how butter is added. We've been lied to for decades about butter and fat in general not being good. But unsaturated ones are actually good and healthy like the video says.

The hamburger is fine except for the bun. Just wrap the contents in a lettuce leaf.

I see concerns here about how little time fresh produce keeps, and about wasting money on spoiled food that will only be discarded. I spent a year in Germany years ago, and one thing I really liked and learned from was the daily marketing routine. Food shopping is not done once a week and stuffed into big refrigerators like we do here (USA). Also, the fresh food markets are plentiful, and there's one close to most homes. The daily or 3-4 times a week walk to the market for fresh food is a common routine. Of course we all think we have no time for this, but that will always be true until we prioritize it and plan life around it. If you are going to drastically cut processed foods and go with fresh items you actually have to prepare from scratch, maybe the biggest single thing you CAN do to improve diet, think about frequent walks for a day or two of food at a time.

I prefer the brie cheese and goat cheese. They have more nutrients and fewer additives than other cheeses. I love my eggs!

My son makes pan roasted Brussels sprouts that are amazing. He puts them in a frying pan with 1/3” water and a tablespoon of kosher salt. Covers and brings to boil. Drizzles well with olive oil and turns heat down as water evaporates. Let’s them sit and char slightly, shakes the pan a bit and chars on several sides. Tops with butter. Delicious!

Can’t stand kale, but I chop it very small and add it to salads, along with romaine and chopped Italian parsley. Then I dress up the salad with additives — shredded Mexican cheddar, corn, chopped pepper/red onion and avocado ranch dressing, or whatever you like. I also make a base salad of chopped (3/4” sqs) of green cabbage, maybe some striped of red cabbage and matchsticks of carrot, plus chopped salad and parsley or cilantro.

the tip of the iceberg of nutrition in plants and seeds ...
1) Phytic acid, also known as inositol hexaphosphate, is a substance found in many plant-based foods, including seeds, nuts, legumes, and unprocessed whole grains. It is the primary form of storage for phosphorus and can bind to certain dietary minerals such as iron, zinc, manganese, and calcium, slowing their absorption. Phytic acid is a food inhibitor that chelates micronutrients and prevents them from being bioavailable for monogastric animals, including humans, because they lack enzyme phytase in their digestive tract.
2) There's also oxylic acid...
there's so much we don't know about the foods we believe are healthy for us...
explore all the different types of diets to find out all the truths available and then figure out what works for you .. slow process...yes...
but we're worth it...

WILD salmon? Will "slightly annoyed" do instead?
I'm a 74 year-old type-2 diabetic.
My controlled diet includes the items on the list* and having lost about 35kg / 75lb over the the past 15 months and exercising daily, I have reduced my medication and eliminated daily insulin injections - I can vouch for the effectiveness of these foods !!!
* Except for salmon - I'm deathly allergic to all finned fish but can eat tinned fish, so I eat tinned mackerel in olive oil and tinned tuna.
