Triceps are powerful muscles. The amount of actual weight pushed in that movement is negligible and it puts your shoulder in a vulnerable position. These aren’t gonna do anything for your triceps. Just do regular dips or weighted dips. And when I say regular I mean on rings or on parallel bars, not off a bench. Bench dips are bad for the same reason as these are.

Physical therapist here and I don't recommend doing this exercise. There are functional and safer exercises that does the exact thing, if not better.

I agree with people saying the movement is unnatural because I tried and half way through I had to stop due to shoulder pain..

Good rule of thumb, if it isn't a natural movement don't do it.

Just a note from someone who has been going to the gym for quite a few years now, in order to gain muscle without using any sort of weights, it’s really quite realistic without a diet because being able to maintain it would have to involve not consuming as much fat so I’d recommend using weights or a machine. You can do it at home, easy exercises like a dead lift, bicep curls or shoulder press with a small dumbbell like 3, 4, 5 kg will get you there with time. This is the same for abs and legs. Although abs take more time to perfect because it’s a harder part of your body to train.

I’m going to be respectful and I hope I don’t come across as rude. She did not build her current body with these ridiculous exercises. She went on a 90 day fitness journey to achieve her current shape, which does not include doing whatever it is she’s doing here. This is why people need to be careful when following fitness influencers. Really Cassie, I wish you would stop trying to convince people to do these useless and sometimes dangerous workouts. Its so disappointing.

There's no full range of movement for the triceps to create any hypertrophic growth of muscle with this exercise and will harm shoulders and wrists.

I think it's easy to do this exercise wrong, which will put shoulders and elbows at risk. Not saying the exercise is inherently wrong, just saying that someone with not enough flexibility or lack of technique could hurt themselves.

If you can't do triangle push-ups then just do modified push-ups or wall push-ups, you could really hurt yourself doing this

Love how people without any muscle definition or knowledge tries to show us the secret and revolutionary exersice to reinvent the wheel. If you are a begineer stick to the basic and oldschool exercises and avoid these kind of influencers, they are going to injure you.
