I have lost 70 pounds with intermittent fasting. At first I started out with the 19 hour fast and did really well. Then I dropped it down to 12 hour fast still lost weight and now I am sticking to the 16:8 fast. I am still losing about a pound a week. I really believe it is consistency. I don’t eat junk food anymore.

I just started this today! I am hungry but I’m actually ok. Only three hours left until my fast ends! 🎉❤

Cut snacks and sugar and went to a 2MAD with a 18-6 fasting and a 1 hr swim daily, and have consistently lost 1.5-2 Lbs / week. Weighed in at 295 and now down to 215 within a year. Sugar reduction was very effective in reducing inflammation and improving an arthritis condition. I found it easy to adapt to a new ritual. Not Keto but slow carbs and watching the level of foods on the glycemic scale. Researched insulin resistance and have now been on the journey to trend from pre-diabetic to normal glucose / blood levels. Never realized how important insulin was to losing weight until doing the research. Daily exercise combined with a better diet has drastically improved my fatty liver condition. The next challenge will be rectifying loose skin which is a by product of the weight loss but that takes time.

I do love your book! I started IF with OMAD and Keto. I have gone from 236 to 155 so far. I want to lose another 15 or so. I am still doing OMAD with a salad with kale, other veggies, protein, and dressing most days. Since reading your book, however, I am adding an occasional small portion of carbs back to my diet. If I go up or stay the same I just go back to my salads for a few days. It is good to know that nothing is completely off limits. I just have to keep a good balance and weigh myself first thing in the morning. Thank you so much for all the information and encouragement you provide to so many! 😀

Your delivery is ABSOLUTELY perfect. You speak calmly, clear, and direct without all the fluff people try to use just for views and likes. You're totally relatable and your approach is do-able. Also a mom of 2 (toddlers), and have been doing 16:8 for about a solid week and have dropped a pound. Just need to drop 10 lbs of the last baby weight and keep it off. This change in eating is workable for me. I plan to watch all of your videos. Thank you for taking the time to help all of us. Thank you, everyone for these comments as it gives others hope and extra advice and motivation. We can do this!!😉(new subsriber for sure!)

I really like your idea of 16:8. Suits my lifestyle. Threw out my scales 3 decades ago. I do feel lighter and more energetic.

Great video. What a relief to take the pressure off thinking longer fasting times are necessary for weight loss. 16-8 is so doable with great results as you shared. Thank you!

Have had good results with 18 to 20 hour fast, and two meals, not one. I do OMAD every once in a while, and do lose more consistently doing that, but I am too hungry. I work in my garden, pretty hard, and need something before I go out, and when I come in. I have lost 35 pounds so far, and my blood work shows amazing results.

Well I started about 2 weeks ago and haven’t lost many pounds but my clothes feel looser and I can get my jeans on again which was a goal of mine . My window is 19:5. So I can eat between 12 - 5pm . That sort of suits me best right now . I eat good at lunch and supper is really small . Hoping to do OMAD once I adjust to this limited eating window . Yes I feel better and no sugar is still a little hard but everything takes time . Thanks for your interesting video !

Just been re reading your book. I had forgotten the bit about only losing a pound a week. I was getting disheartened not losing much but seeing you were 157 pounds like me and while my weight loss tailed off you went on to lose even more weight.
I do go to 7:17 though as it fits with my day.
You can also get at home walking workouts on you tube now so if its horrible cold and dark outside you can still walk. Seeing the instructor helps motivate me.

Oh my gosh… so overwhelmed with the info about rotational
Fasting and different technique. I’ve been fasting for three months, and love it! I am also tempted to rotate but am scared to blow my progress. Thank you for the calm, sensible approach. Loved your video! 🎉❤

I'm just now starting out after reading Kayla's book. I had already known about intermittent fasting, but her book made me think I could really do this. I definitely need to lose at least 100 lbs. I'm currently at 300 lbs and my first day on this was yesterday. My ultimate goal is 180 lbs, which was my weight when I left the US Army back in 1983. I'm an old fart, and have been living with a Santa Claus body for 20 years or so (my wife won't let me grow a beard, though). It's time to get back to "fighting weight." I'm starting out with 18:6, which might seem extreme to some people, but I've found that I actually enjoy feeling a bit hungry, and I almost never eat breakfast. It's the nighttime snacking that really kills me. Last week I made a nice ham sandwich and at it at around midnight. No more. My eating window is Noon to 6 pm. I'll see how this works, and then adjust as needed. Thanks to Kayla for her fine book!

Yes. I like the 11 to 7pm. I have my coffee with cream at 11. I refuse to drink black coffee lol . Then I eat my first solid meals at 1 or 2pm. Dinner around 6pm. It works great for me.
