excited to see your reaction to all the politicking that caesar gets up to in rome, many people are of course aware of his assassination, but the lead up to it and its aftermath is also fascinating

excellent review as always. I also kinda like Historis Civilas’s video regarding politics more. Antony is always an interesting character in Rome history In my opinion. The man is the typical kind of the guy who is genius in one side but totally idiot in other field. He was a capable field commander(good at tactic but not as good as strategical planning) and really good at make soldiers like him( one thing Octavias was terrible at). He was quite like Caesar at this regard, popular in army, great at speech, etc. At the same time he showed astonishingly lack of understanding of politics, so easily react emotionally rather than practical calculations… Kind of guy like Charles 12 of Sweden, or Pyrrhus of Epirus.
