Very informational. I’m an MMA fighter struggling w flexibility. Another thing that helps is to make sure your muscles are warmed up. Someone gave an analogy I think you should use in one of your videos. “Muscles are like taffy, when it’s warm, it can stretch, when it’s cold, it snaps”

Oh my god that makes so much sense now. I’m extremely flexible all over my body but have never been able to do the splits fully without it feeling like I physically can’t go any further.

Argh as a child I was able to do this until I was about 12 and stopped doing martial arts. This is the #1 skill i want to regain

I thought I could not because of the shape of my bones. I was so disappointed and eventually gave up Yoga. Now you're giving me new hope, God bless you ❤️

I thought halfway through he was going to say the only way some ppl can reach the middle splits is to dislocate your hip 😂

Ive got perfect turnout its a blessing for ballet. I can get perfect turnout great for pirouettes. But it does sometimes come with joint pain

Bro I just wanna see this guy move. Like it’s genuinely fascinating see a human body bend and swerve like that.

When i joined karate for the first time, i was more flexible than the black belts, i could do butterfly with my arms pulled and legs sat, split was easy after a month, genetics do play a role.

as a dancer, i was always taught to do my middle splits with my knees facing forward, not externally rotated so it’s interesting to see how you do it! the hip thing makes total sense though, so maybe i was just blessed with good hips or something lol

Best explanation about femur' s head' s angle ever: quick, simple, understandable and🦴 illustrated with a comparison of shapes🙌🏻. I was chosen for ballet during the Soviet Union times due to my natural crazy angle (145° being adult) and outwards opened iliac crests. It' s pure DNA. Both mom and dad were also examined and I still remember them doing a middle split in front of the selection comite 🤣 🧛🏻‍♀️🖤

Wether or not you grew up doing it constantly contributes too. If you stretch when you young you can change the way your hips grow and harden.
