I'm a barber and I got rid of my swollen feet and ankles by lifting my legs up a wall in a 90 degree angle for about 15 to 20 mins almost everyday.

I came because i am young and was written to recieve surgery for vericose veins. I had crazy pain that stopped me from walking. I got pregnant and experienced huge swelling. I cut the suger. I stretched! Then i was able to walk longer. Over the summer i packed snacks and walked ALL DAY. I just met with the doctor from results of ultrasound pictures and i dont need surgery anymore! Now i plan to buy a small treadmill because i want to keep walking as much as possible!

I survived stage 4T cancer it put me in a wheelchair for a while. If you seen me now you'd never know. I'm one of the more muscular guys in the gym now, but it took time and slight consistency

I get more help from videos like this than Doctors in any ER or office. I was left to suffer for 5 years with a back plate out of place and they took multiple X rays and did absolutely nothing and looked at me like i was there for easy pain meds like some common addict. Ive been taking medication my entire life safe to say i hate meds of any kind. 2 winters ago i slipped on ice and fell on my back.. you guessed it an extremely loud pop and i was cured... Gravity and the mercy of god helped me more than human hands.. I also got these issues in this video and have been working with compression socks but i just added more to my arsenal the knowlage is greatly appreciated because if i were to go ask any local doctor id get a half assed explination and be told to take the med that gives the doctor the most money. Ive tripple checked this multiple times in my visits. Guys like this have helped me more than any local doctor. You are far better off long term getting information in places like this than any corrupted office.

Obese people can do these exercises; however the lymph therapists are skinny people who aren’t old and are in perfect condition. You watch them go through exercises soo easily and know you can’t do them. You get discusted. Now you give a ray of hope to big people. Thank you again.

I had my first blood clot at age 40. I was temporarily off work for a medical issue so set on the couch 🛋️ all day. The Dr. Theory is since my feet dangled instead of touching the floor he believes it cutoff circulation to my leg. I allowed it to be swollen 2 or 3 days before I went to the ER. When I got to the ER I said I'm not sure what the issue is but my leg is swollen and won't go down. It did not hurt at all so keep that in mind they don't always hurt. Anyway they freaked out nurses come running from everywhere. They are all this is very critical you lucky to be alive! After an ultrasound of my legs they said I had a foot long blood clot in my upper thigh. They gave me lovenox shots for a few weeks and that was it. Haven't had another one since However I do walk at least 30 minutes a day most days and I also take a low dose aspirin to help prevent blood clots and heart attack since I have been diagnosed with coronary artery disease. Heart disease is common in my family unfortunately. So anytime your on a plane or sitting still a long time try to get up move around or even exercises while sitting such as stretching the legs can prevent blood clots. Protip anytime you suspect you have a clot or a heart attack you should immediately take an aspirin as you head to the hospital. I have seen this actually save peoples lives as it helps thin the blood while you wait.

I always wear compression socks when I travel. Makes a world of difference. I also bring along a rubber stretchy strap - you can do leg exercises and stretches while seated (then every chance you get, walk around).
Thanks for this, Doc!

Just to share my own story for those worried or wanting other advice. I had DVT at 26, doctors gave no cause, they said it wasn't my gaming habits because I work a full time job. Drink water, do a a 10 minute walk every two hours, stretch your legs a little. Ive got a permanently swollen right leg which I wear a very strong compression sock for and i also take abixapan blood thinning tablets ( By choice) just to be extra safe.

I nearly died my DVT was that bed, save yourselves the trouble and just do a little walking every few hours. Please.

Thank-you. I was diagnosed with idiopathic edema a at 17. I am 68 now and it has just gotten worse, especially when it is hot outside. I exercise, eat well, wear compression socks(now diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency). However, you had many very helpful tips and I am so grateful to have found this website.

My husband and I started taking nattokinase just because I learned of the benefits and it literally cured his ED that he had had for 5 years and both of us saw a serious difference in our veins plumping up as they weren't before. We are in our mid 50s.

Such an informative video. I hadn't been swimming for a while and when i did go, found myself weak on one side. It was a shock to be in an olympic size pool, unable to keep up! Videos like yours are relatable and educational! Thank you.

I remember the old folks who after their evening lite meal...usually left overs from heavy mid day meal...they would sit on the porch in their rocking chairs, rocking while the man swatted flies and the woman shelled peas or popped beans and the kids shelled corn for the chickens.
