I was raising my legs up against the wall wiggling my feet when all of a sudden I became acutely aware of my legs like they were taking on a life of their own, I never considered how important legs are, they're probably the most abused and ignored limbs on our bodies, love your legs and treat them with respect.

I went to doctor because I had swelling in calf and ankle. I received a x-ray. Then a month later it was still swelled. A doctor in my family said go to emergency. Received an ultra sound, revealing a clot by my knee. I was on heparin IV immediately for 2 days. Swelling went down . I was stubborn, being strong 70 year old thinking I hurt ankle doing some concrete work. Be safe and if your foot is swelled and red you may want an ultra sound fast! Peace and thanks doctor.

I was in my best shape at 40. Now am 61 and working in the garden, housekeeping for a living, you are helping me with tools I need for circulation exercises and some wonderful encouragement. From ears to toes. This information is really great! Thank you. Please keep encouraging how much taking care of our bodies helps our mind with any depression people may have too, as our mind is part of our body. Lots of people don't realize the supplement Vitamin D is needed to help with depression where we dont have much sun, because Vitamin D is in the sunshine. Small steps work. Time was, I was a serious bodybuilder, and had heavily muscled legs in conjunction with the rest of my body. I could walk 10 miles with a full pack in my 40s. Today, in my 70s, I've shrunken to the point I can't walk 60 meters without having to stop from the cramping and pain in my legs. Swelling from lymphoma in my lower legs is severely bad. I do elevate my legs against the wall, but hardly enough. I will combine the exercises here with light weight training. And most importantly, do them all REGULARLY! The VA has done nothing to help me with the lymphoma, but that's normal for them, as they don't really care about old veterans. However, you are! Thank you for caring about us all!👍
