Do THIS to grow your FOREARMS!

So I got a comment asking how I grew my forearms, and currently the only exercise I do for them is dumbbell hammer curls. At the end of every push day I do 2 sets of hammer curls with the first 10-12 reps being bilateral strict hammer curls to mechanical failure, and once I can no longer get any more without having to swing my body to move the weight, I immediately move into single arm cross body hammer curls with a little bit of momentum still controlling the eccentric until my forearms give out and I just can no longer hold the weight.

I hope that helps and subscribe for more lifting tips! #Gym #Shorts

Hammer curls are a great way to target both the brachialis and brachioradialis. Yes, you could opt for some wrist flexion movements (wrist curls) if you're specifically looking to add size to your forearms, however, I find it unnecessary as they are already involved in many different exercises.

Looking to get protein powder, creatine, or any other supplements?

Damn I literally just did these for the first time yesterday at end of my push day and I must say it's much better on push days because your forearms aren't pre exhausted from all the pulling plus you're able to lift more weight. You also get an insane pump.

Hammer curls also build the radialis and brachioradialis, which push your biceps up making them more visible, and also, it's your forearm muscle

I like looking up arm wrestle training. Like using a rope or strap etc connected to kettle bells or other weights and doing pronation lifts and supination basically rotating your wrists left and right but resisted by the rope you hold lifting the weight. I combine full reps but also the last rep I hold and isometric for a good amount of time. I also turn my hand sideways and make the strap go over my first finger and I lift my wrists against the weight as well as held be hand my head like triceps extensions with a dumbell but using the strap. Just going from a 5 pound kettle bell to a 10 to a 15 has given me so much forearm strength finger strength and tightness and control. It helps in my other lifts too. And I think it also makes your punches not only a bit stiffer but also makes punches safer for your wrists. Punching a bag is probably better
But I noticed the last two fights I got in. One a friendly boxing match the other a real fight in the street that my punches felt harder and more solid. I looked it up and if you have a weak wrist a punch could hit wrong or you could be too strong like from calisthenics etc and when you hit your wrist could fold. But a strong wrist means it handles the load of the hit better. Making you less likely to injure yourself. And your hit is harder cause the wrist isn't giving so more power is sent through to the person. Grip squeeze equipment like handheld grippers also help with this. I feel also while talking about it. That if your a wrestler or judo/jujitsu trainer. Wouldn't armwrestle training make you more of an athlete/fighter due to stronger grip and forearm power/endurance. Like when Devon larrett(arm wrestling champion who did special forces in Canada and jujitsu some in his play wrestling with juji(a bodybuilder). He one arm choked him out cause he can one arm lift like 150. Imagine trying to escape a wrestler or jujitsu fighter than can grip and lift 100+ easy grabbing you. Its over for most.

Other tips. Hold your last deadlift of each set for a while. Do farmers walks etc. Anything to work your grip hard. People think working grip doesn’t increase size but to a degree it does. Most rock climbers I’ve met have crazy big and vascular forearms.
