I've done this: wake up about the same time every morning now, a light breakfast with protein before exercising, go to the gym and after then have a large breakfast like he says. This improved my mood in 2 weeks already more than I ever believed it would! I'm certain new routine will bring even more positive results as time passes.

3 things helped me

1. Routine: I get up at the same time everyday even on the weekends. And I personally like getting up pretty early so I don't have to rush in the mornings to get to school.

2. Working out: I like to workout or do some type of exercise everyday for at least 30 min. It has been very relaxing. Workouts don't have to be hard-core for 2 hours, it can be something as simple as stretching or going for a run.

3. For all of the Christians, reading a few chapters in the Bible every morning and every night. I've done this for a month and have seen such a difference in my anxiety. I feel more at peace and my relationship with God has strengthened

I used to be an extremely anxious person and I've been doing all these for about two years now... I didn't really think about doing them to cure my anxiety, I was just trying to have a better life and over time these are the four things that became the most important parts of my daily routine. Really helped me grow a lot. Another thing I suggest to y'all is to keep a journal to just write down literally any thought that's keeping your mind busy that day.

I find getting up & beginning my mission w/o phone or external influences lowers anxiety!

When the pandemic started, I lost all my routines. I started becoming destructive almost immediately. Going back to my routines actually was the best thing I did during this pandemic.

Structure is the most important thing you can do for ANY mental or neurodevelopment disorder. Changes in routine are more stressful than the average person realizes and are of particular discomfort for anyone suffering from those issues. The gist of it is to remove any aberrant stimuli so you/they can focus on the “important” events that happen in your/their day to day living.

My son had terrible anxiety, then he started weight training and he’s all but cured! After decades of anxiety, I am now beginning weight training! 🤞I would also add meditation to this list 🙏

I have a severe anxiety disorder. Neurotic over analyzing, talking to much etc, all play into it. I did exactly what he's talking about bc I fell into a high stress job. It's been amazing in how much it's helped. The more productive you are, the less dwelling time u have.

I’m, 60 . When I was younger my impulse was to eat sausage and eggs in the morning . It calmed me down. Felt much more stable . I was following my impulse . Still do it . Regardless of dietary trends. Love you !! Thanks for validation .

When I was in the Army, the only thing that would help my anxiety was working out or running.

thankyou, i couldnt leave my room for years 12 hour sleep 12 hour wake and antipsychotics, i find this worked for me, helped me start working again. this food in the morning thing i still havent tried ill give that a go 👍

This is exactly what I needed to hear.
I used to always make a cooked breakfast until one day a work colleague told me to stop doing that because it will make me fat. So I stopped, and I put weight on and my anxiety is high most days. I'm going back on the bacon and eggs! Thank you.

This is all true. I am a very anxious type. I used to skip breakfast until I saw this. I eat eggs and spinach for breakfast. I for sure have less anxiety and more stable energy throughout the day.
