Cable One Arm Pushdown (supinated grip)

The target muscle is the triceps brachii
The latissimus dorsi stabilizes the shoulder joint with the other shoulder extensors and the wrist extensors stabilize the wrist joint.

Pronated Vs. Supinated Grip

Do you see any change in the triceps brachii?
Both these movements occur via movement of the RADIUS bone.
The triceps muscle attaches to the Ulna.
The triceps muscle is not influenced by any change in your wrist position.

I wonder if anyone commenting has actually tried this lol. I definitely feel more in the lateral head when doing triceps with a supinated grip.

Yes if we only look at the supination and pronation part then there's no change occurring in the tricep activation BUT, When we talk of supinating or pronating for hitting different heads of triceps, then there's also involvement of internal and external rotation of the humerus during pronation and supination respectively.

So I have to do exercises for specific head instead of changing the grip? Grip doesnt make any difference?

Then why we feel so much difficulty while doing supinated cable triceps extension rather than pronated

But We tend to feel more stretch at the bicep tendon during, the supinating position so apparently greater Triceps activation only while; supinating.
