Refined sugar and fruit are absolutely processed differently by the body. Unless you're consuming straight up juice, fiber creates a gel like netting throughout the gut to slow the absorption of fructose.

I understand the need to use language differently for psychological purposes, but there's a bit of a mix-up in what this guy says & the scientific truth. Simply because eating whole fruit doesn't spike insulin as much as a spoon of the sugars you'd get from that piece of fruit, due to the fibre 🙌

I gave up white processed sugar 4 months ago. I couldn't do moderation with sugar, it is either abstinence or addiction for me. Feel great now, sugar cravings are no more.
