Here is a quick video showing you our 2 Best Hip Stretches to prevent injuries like knee pain and back pain which are often caused from tight hips. I give a very quick intro explaining how hips create many of the dysfunctional problems we see today and then I show you the 2 easiest yet very effective stretches you can do straight away. A very common problem affecting so many people today and it can be avoided and corrected if the right method and consistent approach is taken.
The hips are designed to be very mobile, having to withstand both direct loading stresses and large rotational forces with weight-bearing activities. It is especially vulnerable to injury in sports that involve pivoting or twisting movements, such as soccer, football, tennis and golf. Because the muscles around the hip joint attach directly on to the joint capsule, they have a large influence on the range of movement. And why we need explosive rotation in sports and even in some daily activities, these forces place tremendous strain on your ligaments, tendons and muscular structures designed to protect the joint. The failure to adequately control these forces can lead to chronic pain and a lifetime of restricted movement!
You can read more about this in articles we have on our website:
I also suggest to read the several articles relating to hip and pelvic dysfunction in the links below as there are many other methods we use to correct hip mobility.

After watching your video I definitely have a flexion problem. I know now it is a stability and weakness too.

So I have a herniated disc in my lumbar and neck. According to my doctor my hips are TOO flexible. Should I do hip strengthening workouts before I do my typical strength workout instead of stretching them out? I am having trouble navigating what order I should do everything with stability vs mobility. Love your videos :)

Thank you for your content.

One question: Is the spinal twist safe for a mild lumbar disc bulge (L4-L5)?
