We kick it off with a warm up, followed by a 8 minute muscle building strength session and a 15 minute fat burning HIIT workout. More muscle means a stronger you and increased metabolism - muscle burns more calories than fat! The high intensity interval training workout will even burn more calories after your workout! In this workout, you'll burn about 1800 steps, more or less depending on your pace.

What do you need? Pick up some weights for the strength portion – I have 5 pound and 8 pound weights by by side and Mom has 2 and 3 pounds. If you’re just starting out, don’t use any weights and add them when you get the moves down and are ready to move up. Water bottles or cans are great starter weights. No equipment is needed for the HIIT but if you want to add a challenge, pick up some light weights.

This workout is for everyone. Mom does it in a chair and I do it standing.

I've just completed this first session with you and I'm thrilled. As a 73 yr. old, almost obese woman with mobility and balance issues, I have searched for a way to get exercise at home, exercises that I'm actually able to do. I love the all in one workout! I have some days when I swim or do other things for exercise, and struggle to aim for 2 strength training workouts and 3 or more cardio workouts within a week. This way I know I am getting both!
PS—until I found your workouts a couple months ago, I struggled to find ones that I enjoy and would stick with. Yours are the first ones I can say I actually enjoy and look forward to! Your mom is so cute and inspiring, and I love the fun and mutual respect you both have. And it’s good for me to be reminded to go at my own pace and don’t worry about getting it perfect. So many other workouts I have tried have these high energy younger folks that I struggle to keep up with, and it leaves me discouraged. Your workouts encourage me and make me want to come back and do more the next day. thank you for this. I am 50 yrs of age turning 51 nxt year and due to depression I did nto take care of my body and binged ate on a pint of icecream almost every day. Noticed that i couldnt stand for logn periods inside the house cause my work requires me to sit down a lot. I am 78 kilos last i weighed, had I not weighed myself I wouldnt have started exercising and not have that wake up call. i used to be able to do heavy exercises now I am afraid to do so cause i am so out of shape. This exercise helps me a lot and yes I sweat a lil but thats good enough for me. Little by little until I get there. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This vid helps me a lot.
