To put it simply, trans fats are detrimental to your health. They are extremely harmful and offer no nutritional benefits. Trans fats lead to dangerous inflammation in the body, raise bad cholesterol levels, lower good cholesterol levels, and increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.
