Hi John,
Ty alot for making great videos that i enjoy alot watching them.
I have one question about this video:
Why is important that the patient take a breath before you move the patient aside?

Easy to follow but could you explain the breathing times please. Is the breathing in and out a very quick process done before the client side bends and also before you put the pressure on? In other words there is no holding of the breath during the actions.

What determines how long you hold the activation? Regarding seconds? Thank you

Good video, but did not really tell what the patient actively was doing. What is a side bend? What kind of contraction? What did you tell the patient to do, when you said, "off you go?"

This one is also used for the latissimus dorsi?
I was reading this in Chaitows
Clinical applications of neuromuscular techniques.

Hi John,
I came across your channel while searching for QL and PSOAS. I have this ongoing pressure feeling in my back (mid to lower). I only feel it when my back is up against something (chair, couch, bed). I guess what I'm feeling is a strain, but it feels like the back muscle is pressing outwards. It's been this way for 3 months.

When I wake up in the morning, it's not noticeable at all. As I progress through my day the symptoms begin.
I've tried stretching the QL and it seems to help a bit sometimes, but I'm not sure what else to do or if I'm targeting the wrong muscle?

Obviously you can't make a diagnosis but have you heard of anything like this? I have No pain at all, it's just a dull strain/pressure I'm feeling. I have full mobility, even when exercising with weights. I did hurt my low back 4 months ago lifting and twisting a heavy weight. Took a few weeks and it didn't hurt anymore, but then this started.

Sorry, for the long message. If you think of anything I can check out on your channel, I appreciate it!
