Another great video thanks for posting and your continued emphasis on making protein a must have. I’m 61 and for 40ish years I ate what the so-called “experts” said to eat a low-fat with multigrain diet, which always left me hungry . So maybe four or five years ago I started changing my diet listening to and reading other sources like you and I totally change my diet to making protein and healthy fats one of the major emphasis is on my eating.

I’ve been a lifelong runner and into sports so I was never overweight, but my body has gotten more muscular and I’ve lost fat, which is interesting because I was always slim but at the grand old age of 61 I have a sixpack because of the way, I change my eating. I’m still about the same weight but I had to buy a belt and I never wore a belt before because my pants wouldn’t stay up.

It bums me out a little bit because I’m sure I never reached my potential during my high school, college and post college years doing sports because I was probably always under “muscled “!because I wasn’t eating in the way my body needed .

The other interesting things about changing your diet to more what you say is I’m not hungry all the time and I actually eat as much as I want because I’m feeding my body the way it wants. I don’t feel the need to eat all the time or over eat and so I’m sure I’m explaining that correctly, bu

oh my gosh! the first breakfast idea...cottage cheese with nut butter, apples, and nuts...were AMAZING! (I forgot to add the cinnamon, so I can't wait to try that!) Thanks so much for this recipe...I mean, who knew? obviously, Autumn 😉

These are great options but I am lactose interolerant and would love to learn of some new breakfast ideas that do not include dairy 😊
Yogurt and cottage cheese were some of my favorites and I've recently had to cut them out of my diet, so I am scrambling to find ways to get enough protein in my day.

I love scrambled eggs! I add in ham and/or bacon crumbles and about a cup of fresh chopped spinach. Top with pepperjack and salsa like Autumn, yum!

I started using the skyr yogurt and you can’t tell the difference in taste. I add protiein powder and flax and unsweetened coconut., then top with thrive market grain free granola. Very satisfying.

These look amazing! Curious, how much do you tend to spend on groceries per week? I buy what I can to be healthier but man, I can’t afford to get most of the stuff people seem to enjoy that is healthy, buying meat is crazy and any decent protein powder is high too! 😬

I noticed you showed a non fat skyr yogurt instead of whole fat. I thought you said we should only use whole fat ?

Hey Autumn! The dairy free yogurt as an alternative sounds great since I’m a vegetarian. My question is Would it be ok to heat up the apples and add pecans or walnuts instead of almond butter? Thanks!

I have high cholesterol & full fat dairy products supposedly can cause this? Same with red meat, which I dont eat much red meat anyway. That being said, would reducing fat in yogurt & cottage cheese still be satisfying? Or maybe I need to add other healthy fats to nonfat greek yogurt & cottage cheese 🤷‍♀️.
