For those wondering what processed meat means… Although grinding meat or poultry is a form of processing, generally it does not refer to fresh meat ground up for burgers or casseroles. The types of processed meat that studies convincingly link to cancer risk include meat and poultry that is smoked, salted, cured or contains added preservatives (such as nitrites). Processed meat refers to choices such as bacon, sausage, ham, hot dogs and bologna etc.

I have noticed that when I have a carby day, and I mean bready/sugary/carby, I’ll be “puffy” the next morning, and sometimes for a few days afterward.

But we don't need too many more studies to know that sodas are bad, one of the worst crap humanity created, And everybody knows it, but so much are still ignoring it even though they have a good range of health issues..

Second thing where I wanted to share my thoughts, processed meat. In Canada, the health department is crazy about red meat and they are urging us to lower their consumption dramatically. But at the same time, they're promoting HARD on dairy and grains.. both are huge businesses up here.
But since I discovered the Paleo diet years ago while I was still fat(it helped me tremendously although it wasn't enough to get lean), I couldn't ever hear any bad press on red meat, while 75% of the grocery store meat products are highly processed.

Bottom line, they have been lying to us for decades and they keep doing it, even now promoting soy oil products etc.
It's really annoying to live in such a society of twisted/hypocritical/constant disguised lies.. Being sick generates so much money, I don't see them stopping that behavior soon and it's pretty sad.

I have an autoimmune disease (ankylosing spondylitis) and suffered pretty much my whole life with pain and inflammation. Doctors weren't able to diagnose me until recently. I cut out all grains, processed foods and sugar (outside of natural in fruits) and have been intermittent fasting and I feel better now at 44 than I did at 24. I hardly have any inflammation it's amazing and I've only been doing this for a few weeks.

I r been working with Mold and Lyme for 20 years
Hence the term banded quite a bit is CIRS chronic inflammatory response syndrome

I love Dr. Pepper but when I stopped drinking it I noticed how much it was responsible for my joint inflammation. It made me sad - I will still partake occasionally, but for the most part it is just not worth it .

Sodium Benzoate is a new thing I wasn’t aware of. New item to scout for in the ingredients list from now on.

One thing that you didn't mention is that when sodium benzoate mixes with ascorbic acid(vitamin c), it forms Benzene. And I don't think I even need to mention the dangers of that...

C Protein is indeed an inflammatory marker but a short term one. You see immediate increase after a bacterial infection. Claiming a diet is leading to high C Protein market levels is a real stretch. C Protein is usually very low in normal healthy people.
