Our renter was a hoarder. 80% of the carpet was protected by cardboard boxes. There’s a 6’ square that’s stretched and has folds and ridges. I happen to have a 4’ x 12’ bound matching runner. Should I find someone to patch it or just stitch the runner down to cover it?

You over stretched it, too much tension it will not lose fibers faster Becsuse you broke the adhesive backing up by over stretching
