This is what we need. The internet is full of videos of already flexible ppl doing demos or teachers walking their already flexible students through stretches they clearly do every day. Yes we need to see proper alignment, but it’s so much more realistic for people to see someone who looks like a real beginner

Considering she’s a trained dancer and not a trained physiotherapist her advice was pretty good to suggest starting points. Her back flexibility and the strength to hold those is insane. Amazing stuff. Very entertaining video as well lmao.

I LOVE this. I would love more videos like this where we see each dancer share a few stretch/strength exercises to develop a body part or something. I’m gonna do all of these!

The fact that she could keep talking while doing these 🤯

PLEASE have one of the dancers show you stretches for arched feet!! I really need some stretching ideas.

Basically this whole video. 😂
Sophia: "So this is what I do to stretch..."
Eva: "What would you recommend for us mere mortals who aren't already 50% pretzel?"

Eva, you are way too relatable. The "you need to kill me" sound is on repeat everytime I am stretch

Eva being terrified so so relatable. I TRIED do a backbend and fell on my head so now doing anything like that just gives me MAJOR flashbacks 😭

Loving the modifications
for those of us not there yet. Thank you!

Eva makes the EXACT same noises as I do while doing backbends 💀😂

She's basically a contortionist. Building this level of flexibility takes time and it's better to work on it when young. That said, learning flexibility at any age is pretty much always good for you. It's something people take for granite, but it keeps you from pulling muscles or getting issues later as often.

You did great Eva! I can’t do this due to a bad back and 2 failed spinal surgeries. But I admire the ballet and those who try it and those who do it. One day I’ll see the ballet in real life and one day I’ll own a tutu.

I feel like it’s often just as much about shoulder flexibility as well as back

This was equal parts hilarious and relatable 😂 but also genuinely helpful

Woah-I actually needed this so bad. My sis is doing my contemporary solo these year, for comp, just like last year so I need a flexible back for that lol😂

As a radiographer I WISH I could xray and see how their spines look in those positions. My brain cannot compute how that even works anatomically... like where do their vertebral bodies go?! And the spinous processes? Do they just collapse on each other somehow? lol fuuu
