Hey guys, I think a lot of people have misunderstood this video. I’m not saying don’t get to a low body fat, I tell you around what body fat percentage to be around. What I am saying is that abs are a muscle, so train them with the same mentality as other muscles.

Because people usually don’t care about the size of the abs… they care about visibility.
Yes, training your abs will make them slightly more visible but if you have a very high body fat you will not see them. That is the truth

a lot of fat is stored in the midsection so thats why you need to cut down fat in order to see the muscle. I'm super skinny but I dont have abs because I haven't trained them much. both sides have a point lol

Myth: abs are made in the kitchen. Don’t bother with ab workouts. Just eat in a calorie deficit.
Fact: abs are sculpted in the gym but revealed in the kitchen. If you’re 20-30% body fat, you can do 1000 crunches but you can’t see anything cause you’ve got a layer of fat covering it up. As well if you’re extremely lean at sub-10% body fat but don’t train them, your abs will be visible but won’t be anything special. It’s only when you pair ab training with the right diet that they are not only visible but also aesthetic.

Abs are MADE in the gym, and REVEALED in the kitchen. And even with trained abs you need to be at ~13% bf for visible abs and 10% or less for shredded abs.

Most of the time content creators will just bullshit up and down about “planks are ruining your ab gains” this and that but the more consistent in a certain muscle group the more they grow, common sense

The best Abs are made in the kitchen. It’s the most important part. Second to training

Because from a bodybuilding standpoint your goal is to keep your waist as small as possible to get the good V taper and widen the shoulders even more. If you train abs your get a bigger waist which is no good. Only body weight ab workouts no weighted stuff.

Abs are a muscle group that IS much harder to see through the fat though. So yes you do have to reduce a fair amount of body fat before ab muscles start to appear.

Abs are all about bf precentage and genetics, thats all, you cannot train your abs for them to be more visible but you can train them for the effectivity of the abs
