Welcome to my channel! I'm going to take you through an hour long yoga class for strength, flexibility and balance. This hour long practice will help give any yoga beginners a chance to get familiar with some essential poses and learn how to practice vinaysa yoga

We move in and out of the poses fairly slowly to build body awareness and improve balance. This class will help you improve overall strength and flexibility. You will only need 1 block to do this class.

A month ago I couldn't finish this video, I got about halfway through and my feet and thighs were in so much pain I actually sat on the mat and cried. Today my feet were still in pain (there's a lot of me for them to hold up) but I could breath through it and finished the video feeling so much better about myself. The changes yoga can make in such a short time astounds me. Your videos are awesome and I love that you take time to respond to questions in the comments, you seem to really care about everyone who watches your videos, it makes this SO much nicer to do!

I am a 70 year old who recently retired and began yoga classes one month before the Covid-19 lock down. I found your classes online after trying many others that just didn't work for me. I love your voice and capacity to explain and simplify the poses. I feel great afterwards! You rock Kassandra!

As a experienced yoga teacher, I would encourage any level student to practice this class. That said, labeling it “beginner” could be discouraging to true beginning level students. While all the poses individually are basic, the way some are sequenced (strung together) takes the class to a higher level between 25 and 42 minutes. Generally sequencing more than 2 poses on the long edge of the mat takes liberty with the beginning label. Unarguably stepping through from Down Dog to Warrior 1 to Pyramid to Warrior 3 to Tree is not a beginner sequence. Fun as it might be. I mention this only because I was so discouraged after taking my very first yoga class that I didn’t try yoga again for two years. Not because the class was poorly taught, but because it was mislabeled. I was led to believe it was a class for “everybody” and it was for more advanced students. So enjoy the class and if some parts are too challenging as a beginner that’s okay. You’ll get there with practice. That’s why is called Yoga PRACTICE, not Yoga workout.

Thank you yet again for your videos. I think I shared in another comment that I am an incomplete quadriplegic and former ballet dancer. I have been using your videos to supplement my rehab and daily fitness routine. I can't stand on my own, but today managed a downward dog pose for the first time in over 5 years. My injury was in 2012. Modifying your workouts has made a huge difference in how I see my "incomplete" body. Namaste!

I loved this. I like the way you specify every time which limb to use, right or left and that the instructions are clear enough that we don’t have to spend time twisting head to watch the screen. This is the first time I was able to walk from downward dog to top of mat. Thank you!
