IBS MEDITATION - IBS pain relief

It’s very important to include stress management when considering how to relieve IBS pain. This meditation for IBS is based on gut directed hypnotherapy which is showing to be an effective adjunct therapy for IBS.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a ‘stress-sensitive’ gut disorder that affects 10-15% of adults. It is a functional disorder, which means tests of the intestinal tract look normal and healthy, yet the bodily processes are irregular or different to usual. Having a nervous belly is different to IBS. A nervous belly occurs only when you anticipate a nerve wracking event, but IBS is chronic and occurs for 3 months or longer.

IBS can create terrible abdominal discomfort such as cramping, diarrhea or constipation that interferes with normal daily activities. Although there is no clear cause, the symptoms are very real. These symptoms can come and go, flare up or become chronic causing great distress because you never know when they will arrive and ruin a day.

Stress doesn’t cause IBS, but stress makes the symptoms worse. And the unpredictable cramps, pain and bowel movements can cause more anxiety for the person having the flare-up. It is thought that over time long-term stress can change the composition of your gut microbiome, which can cause further problems.

This IBS meditation will guide you through relaxing your stomach muscles, helping you get rid of the anxiety you hold in your stomach, and give you more control in calming an IBS flare-up.

I can't even describe to people how much this helps me. I come back here during my period and ibs or dairy intolerance attacks. It's literally the only thing that helps me when I'm on the toilet just crying from the pain. I will continue to come back to this video everytime as it helps me immensely. I wish more people would take this stuff seriously

If anyone is reading this please pray for me the doctors can't figure out what is wrong with me everytime I eat or drink something it's like I'm digesting razor blades and the pain is so sharp and it's been over 45 days and I'm on a liquid diet I even had exploratory surgery an endoscopy and have had my bowels checked and they say that everything is completely normal they're starting to think I am crazy I can't work anymore or take care of my seven-year-old or paying my rent and I'm here right now doing this meditation trying to stay out of the emergency room Please send up a prayer for me if you are reading this I am at the end of how much I can take thank you for listening

I’m so glad i found this. I’ve been going through the longest flare up of my life, it doesn’t matter what i eat or drink it makes me horribly sick. At the moment i can’t even get a job because the pain is so bad and the stress from that makes me feel even worse. This genuinely has helped me so much not just for my stomach but my anxiety as well. I’ve been feeling so trapped and controlled by my own body and youve made me realize that i can take back control of my body even if it’s just a little bit. ❤️

Reading these comments has made me feel like I’m not alone! I get stomach cramps, back pain and going to the toilet can be excruciating at times 🥺 people just think I’m being silly about being anxious about it. The pain I can’t even describe. I don’t know if any of you suffer with anxiety like me but my anxiety plays havoc with it! Sometimes the pain is that bad I’m about to pass out ! I’m going to keep trying this meditation to see if this helps! You are all warriors, we will get through this no matter what! One day we will all over come IBS

Been coming back for 4 years since upload and can’t even describe how much this helped me get out of my ibs / panic attacks due to intolerance with food. I was hysterical before watching this video and always somehow end up completely back to my relaxed painless self after listening.

I listened to this meditation when I was in the military with the most intense stomach issues of my life, (which I link to emotional issues) in the base, 7 hours from home, and a week from my military doctors appointment. This helped tremendously with the pain and also my emotional state. The torment of the military and the stress and pain were unbearable but this was a great help and I remember after listening I thought “is this real?” Haha. I couldn’t believe that I could possibly feel better where I was and in the pain I was in! Anyways, thank you to you who made this video! I am truly grateful, you really are a healer and you understand what people need for relief.

My GI specialist treated me like I wanted there to be something wrong with me because he couldn’t find anything on a CT or colonoscopy. I’m so grateful to find this as it is literally the only relief I have had in the two years I’ve been dealing with issues.

I suffer from IBS very badly to the point where I might think it's something else but anyways, when a really bad attack comes on I get really nauseous and I get uncontrollable tremors, which make me clench my stomach more and hurt myself more it's a vicious cycle and it tends to give me a panic attack because I also don't want to throw up so it's very hard to call me down but this video helped me a lot this morning thank you ❤️

I believe nervousness makes my stomach tight, and slows down digestion . I’m sure acid and gas is the result . Meditation is a good remedy . Good job ! thank you

Sometimes… the pain feels like I’m going to die. My IBS is so severe, that I’m afraid to eat, drink and even move. This was very soothing. I lit a candle, palo santo incence and faced east, on my giant meditation cushion. I made the mammoth effort to rise early (06:30) and ensure I don’t just sleep, trying to escape this hideous condition. I’m blessed to live in a beautiful city, where, today is perfect… balmy morning and fresh air is wafting through my apartment. Time for breakfast. Let’s hope we can all heal from this… I know, I can’t take much more.
