The second warm up she called bullshit, I would have to disagree. May not be the best for lifting, but that is an excellent warming for any training utilizing running or jumping

Just tried the airplane. I definitely have a limited right side in my legs and know it has something to do with my hips. I don’t have a ton of low back pain actually but I feel like my squat form is a little awkward and it also seems to affect stability when doing single leg work and stresses my knees more because my glute feels like it’s partially “asleep”. I’ve been told that is likely due to hips being tight and that can cause sleeping glute/hamstring syndrome… or whatever it’s known as. The airplane is difficult to execute but doing a 5 second rotation definitely opened up my hips a bit and will try to implement this into my everyday and do them in the morning and afternoon to attempt to fix years of poor posture and sitting.

Exactly what I’m working on now. If you’ve spent years at a desk, in cars, airplanes, meetings your hip flexors may be atrophied. Remember, one of the major risks to the elderly is falling. Keep those lower body muscles fit

I need you for my PT. Almost every PT I have had notes an impingement then has me do 1 size fits all exercises for a couple months, impingements still there, ignores it and runs out the referral. I have EDS and FM with numerous impingements and hypermobility issues. They just always have me do the exact same exercises without the scrutiny you apply to these directions of flexion, measure some strength, and rinse repeat. Nothing improves.

I see a problem with telling everyone certain exercises/stretches are “bad” when in reality they are just fine but now people feel more embarrassed or self conscious doing them
