Welcome to this Yoga Nidra Tension Release practice with soft nighttime nature sounds. In this 17-minute guided meditation, you will experience complete tension release while simultaneously working to nourish your nervous system.
This yoga nidra for tension release has been created to help you release mental, physical and emotional tension.
Creating an opportunity in your day to make subtle shifts in the spaces we tend to hold tension. Focusing on more than the physical body you can start to unwind the tension and stress that is held non-physical bodies of your being like the emotional and mental bodies.
Doing this practice with a focus on conscious tension release will help you reset the muscle tone, create awareness in the body and help you deeply relax.
Yoga nidra is an effortless guided meditation that takes you quickly into a state of deep relaxation. You will find in these deep states of relaxation the mind is subtly aware and the body has moved into deep healing states of sleep.
Your brain waves slow down as you enter the states of rest and deep healing from dropping into your nervous system, allowing you to replenish and restore your mind, body, and soul.
💤 To Prepare for Your Deep Rest During Your Yoga Nidra Practice:
✔️You will need to be in a comfortable position. Traditionally yoga nidra is practiced lying down in savasana, but if that isn’t available to you just find a position that feels good and safe for your body.
✔️Have props to support your body like bed or couch pillows, a blanket and possibly an eye covering to block out light.
✔️Affirm to yourself before starting that rest is your birthright and not something you need to earn.
