This is SO GOOD. When you got to the part about how we treat ourselves when triggered by acceptance or rejection, it was a light bulb moment for me!!

It's hard to think you have power when you're all alone. Power over yourself I guess. As a species we are very social. Without a social cirlce or our own small tribes/groups, we are alone and struggle to survive for multiple reasons. I'm a very calm, patient and understanding person but can't seem to keep a circle of friends, the handful I make for a while always end up ghosting me and don't give me a reason. I can't fix a problem I am unaware of.

Charlie, this has been an incredible and insightful video. I've come to realize the gravity of your words in my heart, in my mind, and in the people around me.

Moving forward, I will keep my mind aware of others' ways of influence as I move to live with the value of true power. Thank you for your ongoing positive, eye-opening, and ethical philosophy. It has personally helped me to help take control and live a fulfilling life with the people around me.

One of life's great paradoxes: In order to command respect, you must first have respect for yourself regardless of your circumstances or how others treat you - true self-respect. When you have true self-respect, you understand that how others behave says everything about them and nothing about you.

There is a difference between power and having the respect of others. Knowledge is power but too much knowledge can get you killed. To gain respect keep your friends close and your enemies closer. However, it is often difficult to tell the difference between those you may THINK are your friends and those who pretend to be for personal and/or financial gain at your expense. I discovered the difference at a point in my life when I hit rock bottom and rock bottom has a basement. Once you observe others they become pretty predictable. People will always test your boundaries. Make your boundaries clear and defend them at all costs. Most people lie. Never lie unless you have to. "Nuff said!
