Here is a to-do list based on the main points of the night routine discussed in the video:

Limit exposure to bright screens and lights in the evening, about 1-2 hours before bed.

Make sure to have a pitch dark room by using a sleep mask or blackout curtains.

Tackle the hardest tasks and make important decisions earlier in the day to preserve energy for the evening.

Prepare for the next day by packing your backpack, lunch, and picking out your outfit the night before.

Avoid stress by writing down any thoughts or worries on a to-do list and addressing them the next day.

Hydrate before bed but avoid drinking too much water to avoid needing to use the bathroom during the night.

Avoid alcohol and caffeine 3 to 4 hours and 5 to 7 hours before bed, respectively.

Try to stick to the routine at least 80% of the time.

Sleep masks are great! My college dorms were defined by how absurdly bright they were- the lights of downtown, the campus lights, the lights of other students in my building. I don’t think I would have slept at all in freshman year if I didn’t have a sleep mask. It’s a weird adjustment for sure but it’s so nice. Don’t forget to wash it!!!! At least as often as you wash sheets.

try living in Tromsø, Norway! We have almost no light at all now and everybody gets so drowsy but we all suffer together ^^ I'm actually from the UK and this is my first winter here being an international student, it's a really odd experience.

I disagree with the temperature thing slightly. I sleep with warm clothing (tshirt, hoodie and track pants, and socks) so I feel warm and cozy when sleeping and then in the morning I don’t mind getting out of bed since I don’t dread being cold bc I’m already warm 👍
