My pull-up workout to train my back and biceps is pretty simple:

Hold the top of a neutral grip pull-up 1 minute

Comando pull-ups 6 6 6/ side

Rotation rows on rings 40 total reps

A fun variation on the neutral grip isometric hold is instead of grabbing ahold of the bar hook your palms over the bars
So your hands are in a goose neck position. Everything else is the same.

Big respect that you can get by with this style. I found convict conditioning to be BS and took the all out volume approach. I much prefer the sickening sets whilst staying on the bar (mu, dips, pullups) over a 3x5 archer pushup. props

I really like the commando pullups too, I do one set R/L, then next set L/R (hands switched) next set chin ups. I think the commando pull ups help with climbing and it feels like they strengthen my grip.

I need to add more horizontal rows or kb rows for those lats. That helps you start lawnmowers and snowblowers, haha

I was just wondering when you'll do your workout videos again, lol. Matt, do you think it's possible to go through a period of experimentation with exercises and routines and still make progress? I've just realized that all this year I've been 'experimenting' to find the perfect routines and exercises, but in reality I've been lying to myself and made little progress (I've still got a positive and hungry mindset though!).

For me it always feels like he isnt doing enough volume, but look at his arms, shoulders and back. He is still making some serious gainz.

Other than isometric stabilization of the back muscles don't rows use the biceps as primary movers?
