These hip and leg exercises for seniors and beginners will loosen up and strengthen your hips which are important for any movement, including walking. Strong hips also contribute to proper standing posture because they support your spine. Doing this hip workout will also strengthen your legs and core and work on your balance. We recommend doing these exercises at least three times a week.

I love these classes! I am 49 but have a movement disorder so I follow the way your mom does the exercises, and my mom, who is a healthy 85 year old, does the exercises the way you do them. It's perfect! Thanks so much for creating these user-friendly workouts. <3

My husband had a hip replacement a year ago and has been experiencing a lot of muscle pain. I ootched him into doing this session with me and after only two days, he was feeling some relief. It is now about a week of doing the exercises and he is feeling great. Very pleased!

Thank you to both mum and daughter for these excellent videos. I really appreciate that you explain the exercise clearly and say what area it is working. It is also good to know the different ways (holding, seated) that the exercises can be done.

Hello....I just found this 10-minute hip and leg workout video and your 5 minute upper body one. I am 72+ years old, disabled in parts, and an certified Fitness Instructor of over 32 years (ACE certified). Long story short---I love these 2 short, quick workouts. I will be looking at your other videos as time goes on, but as of in!!. Thank you and your mom

Another winner, April! I usually hold on to the back of a chair to do these types of exercises, but this time I ventured into not holding on. Needs a bit more practice for a couple of them, but since balance is very important to me--and should be for all--this exercise provides me with the opportunity to practice balance as well--a double bonus! My regards to Aiko...Anastasia
